I am always in the mood for helping someone achieve their dream. No matter how big or small it may be. And some of you might know that I have great respect for talented people. One of the most talented people I know are musicians. And there’s just one that I keep track of every single day. Why? Because they are traveling around the world playing pop-up shows. What does that mean? Well, means aside from stages that are made out of milk crates, and show time that is pretty much up to them, it’s FREE and it’s for the people.
But here comes the kicker… Josiah, the ever talented violinist has just got his violin stolen from their hostel in London. Set Sail are 3 man band. One on guitar and vocals, one on buckets, and one on violin. So you can imagine what kinda damage a missing violin would make. So these guys are planning to continue with their tour no matter what, even if it does mean that they would only eat rice for the rest of the tour. I would really want us to help them out. Check out their video HERE. And click HERE to support these guys.
Please. It would mean a great deal for me if you guys all help these guys out. even a $5 or $10 donation would help them go a long way. And don’t forget to buy their album HERE for only $1!!!! No where else and NO ONE ELSE in the world would be selling their stuff these days for $1 no matter how crappy or bad it is let along some GOOD MUSIC! So check it out!
What goes 173 mph at 10,000 feet that you ride like a motorcycle? It’s either a Star Wars speeder bike, which doesn’t exist, or this hoverbike invented by some Australian dude, which actually does. And you don’t even need a pilot’s license to fly it.
Chris Malloy’s prototype hoverbike has so far not done anything but hover while tied to the ground, but that is in no way stopping its designer from making all kinds of wildly optimistic projections about its performance and availability. Expect this thing to be able to travel at upwards of 170 mph, and you can take it to 10,000 feet (or even higher, with oxygen), although you’ll probably have more fun whipping around trees down low, just make sure and look out for hooligans wielding light sabers.
Since it’s classified as an ultralight, you won’t technically need a pilot’s license, although a parachute will likely be a good idea. And for better or worse, the hoverbike is shaping up to be affordable to the point where people who really shouldn’t be riding around on one of these will probably be able to: a production run of 100 a year will peg them at $40,000 each, and if 1,000 are ordered, that cost could drop to something comparable to a performance motorcycle. Yeah, having everybody commuting to work on these things would probably be a fiasco, but who cares. It’s a hoverbike, man!
I just love it when people fall in love. Not just for the first time, but all over again! Love is such a powerful thing! For Rose and Andrew, that was just it… it didn’t matter I never met them before hand, nor did it matter I had a huge camera up their face. They were just enjoying each other’s company and that made the difference…
This is what love should be like. Enjoying each other’s company no matter what. It’s winter season here in Melbourne and I hope y’all are keeping warm and keeping your loved one warm too! Make sure you give them a big hug everytime you see them!
I got to know Kher Sing and her family while her parents were here on holiday as most parents would want to visit their kids. So they decided they want some photos together and there’s what happened…
Had a pretty good time seeing a typical Malaysian family step out of their comfort zone and do some wacky stuff! ;) Uncle was the star of the day and I bet back int he day he had a couple of moves! haha
P/S: We’re in the middle of updating the website at the moment hence the lack of updates! Sorry! Will be done real soon! So much to go thru but…
So in the pass few days I’ve started looking in what I’ve been doing with my photography. One of the main reason why I started photography was to capture ‘moments’ in life. “Moments” that people share between them, to capture it and to make it last forever. Now, I’m please to say that I have something else up my sleeves. I’ve decided to make little cards (mini polariod size) and postcards that are inspirational. These would be cheaply priced just enough to cover cost of making them as the whole point of these are to inspire you guys out there. And at some point bring that the little art of having a pen pal, or letter writing that emails seems to have destroyed these days.
This is just a heads up, sorta a promise in a sense that I would get on and finish this little projects of mine. And then get it out there to the world. As so many photographers out there has inspire me, my greatest joy would be to have the ability to inspire someone else as well. So hang tide, this is gonna come real soon! ;)
Dumbo came over awhile back and thought a class at a friend’s dance studio Passion. And I got invited to head over and grab some shots of him. I’ve watched him and his crew Poreotics on ABDC before and they were my fav to win. So of cos I wasn’t going to give up a chance to meet him in person and hang out with him (too bad I can’t dance) haha
Hope you guys enjoy these happy snaps. Big shout out to Debbie Lee too! I’ve completely forgotten about these shots until I saw her fb status today! haha
I spend most days trying to capture new love. Be it couples that just got together or ones that are getting married. It’s not everyday that I get to capture ones that have been together for a long long time. Had the chance to meet Agnes & Michael to get some photos of them around the area they live in, they just wanted something simple to remember their love for each other and of cos, photos that will become wall art to decorate the beautiful apartment that they live in doesn’t hurt hey?
I really hope to capture more of these moments. It’s so special. Can’t wait to capture someone’s wedding day and then capture their 50th Anniversary! Or better yet, have the chance to document every single anniversary!!
Thank YOU guys so much for supporting what I do. It is truly a blessing from God Himself that I could do the things that I love and still be able to pay the bills and at the same time not rip people off! You guys are the BEST!
One of our clients Rhona got in touch with us and told us her sister and her two kids were coming down from Sydney for a visit. So she wanted to have some photos of the kids as a gift for the sister. Great idea wasn’t it? Until the photos came out so dang cute that I almost didn’t want anyone else to have them! haha
Thanks again Rhona for allowing us to capture these gorgeous moments and treasure them forever. What an unforgettable day that was. Such an honour to be able to capture kids with a huge smile. (Btw, the were crying for the first half hour when they saw me too!) haha
Thank YOU so much for following us, reading the random things that we post. You guys are the BEST!
